Final Laney-Walker traffic flip; completion planned for end of April

One more “flipping” of access to Laney-Walker Boulevard is anticipated to start Tuesday, March 29, drawing the enhancement project ever closer to completion.

During this time, access to Laney-Walker from 15th Street and the interior of campus will be from 15th Street, not R.A. Dent Boulevard. Access to the Cancer Research Center, its parking deck and the R.A. Dent Boulevard intersection will not be impacted.

Deliveries to the Central Warehouse and access to the Kelly Administration Building will be from 15th Street.

This “flipping” is expected to last through the first week of April.

Over the next few weeks:
• The final coat of asphalt will be installed,
• Raised crosswalks will be installed,
• Landscaping will be completed, and
• The last few utility poles will be removed.

It is our intention to have the road completed towards the end of April. Thank you for your patience during this very important project.
