Copy and Print Services gears up to meet new brand demand

It’s a new year, and we all know what that means.

New students, new patients and, of course, a brand new name.

In anticipation of the university’s upcoming rebranding effort, Augusta University Copy & Print Services has added several new pieces of tech and brought back a familiar face to help alleviate the university’s printing needs.

Below is a list of changes to keep in mind during our transition to the new Augusta University brand:

Copy & Print Services has added a new (and additional) envelope printer

“This will allow the Copy & Print Center to double the production capacity to handle the onslaught of envelope orders,” said Karl Munschy, director of Auxiliary Services.

They’ve also replaced an existing color production digital multi-function printer …

“The Copy & Print Center planned to upgrade the existing printer in the summer of 2016, but upgraded in December of 2015 in anticipation of the name change,” Munschy said. “The upgraded model has much higher production volume capabilities and includes Fiery, which will allow the Copy Center to exactly color match the designs produced by the Division of Communications and Marketing. The Copy Center now has two high-capacity production digital color multi-function printers.”

… in addition to replacing an existing black and white production digital multi-function printer

“This was another change originally planned for summer of 2016,” Munschy said. “The new printer has higher production capacity and additional bindery options.”

Welcome back, Virginia!

“Virginia Thompson, who retired from the Copy & Print Center last spring, will rejoin the staff on a temporary basis to help with the volume,” said Munschy. “We are very fortunate that Virginia is willing to come back to lend a hand.”

Keep in mind:

The Copy & Print Center operates Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5p.m.

Services available include: photocopying of budgets, exams, flyers, handouts, manuals, newsletters, memorandums, resumes, reports, theses and related educational materials. Some of the special photocopying services provided by Copy & Print Services include color copying, collating, duplexing, stapling and binding.

Services are available to Augusta University, GRHealth users and authorized state agencies. Students must use a valid JagCard to pay for services.

As one of the offices impacted most by the name change, the Copy & Print Center will no doubt experience a large volume of requests as the new brand guidelines come into effect. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
