GPBAugustaLogo_800x600Grammy Award winning soprano Jessye Norman is from Augusta. For our series, “Where I’m From”–a joint production of GPB- Augusta and The Greater Augusta Arts Council–Norman sat down in the performance hall of the school that bears her name, with Brenda Durant, executive director of The Greater Augusta Arts Council.

Today, the conversation turns to a topic for which Ms. Norman has a great deal of passion: The importance of arts education.
