Friends, Romans, countrymen – Pig Out!

It’s that time of year again!

The Jaguar Production Crew has spent the past several months planning this year’s “When in Rome” Pig Out, and the event is sure to be a hit with students, faculty and staff alike. Set to take place on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on the Summerville Campus, sources say “When in Rome” will have a very “unique” feel compared to previous Pig Out events.

To gear up for the eating event of the season, the planning committee is searching for the campus cookout’s most important ingredient: your support!

It’s a fact – without the help of faculty and staff volunteers to cook, run and serve the various food and drink items offered each year, Pig Out would be just another luncheon.

That’s why this year, Pig Out is welcoming any and all time commitments you’re willing to make.

Want to spend the day making this year’s Pig Out better than ever? Come on out! Have half an hour to come out and volunteer for our students? That’s more than enough time to do something great.

To volunteer, simply fill out the submission form located here by Monday, Oct. 12 at 8 a.m. Registration closes on Oct. 13 at noon, but registering early guarantees you a Pig Out T-shirt.

If your schedule is a little tighter, don’t worry. You can still support the cause.

Just send an email to Jessica Haskins, assistant director of student programs, at jhaskin2@gru.edu. as soon as possible to find out what you can do to help.

Are you ready to make Pig Out 2015 the best event of the season? Eager to do your part for our students and friends?

Then set aside some time between now and Oct. 12, and get ready to do as the Romans do.
