WJBF: Helping protect women and prevent gynecologic cancers

News Channel 6’s Jennie Montgomery invited Dr. Sharad Ghamande, with the Georgia Cancer Center, to talk about cervical, ovarian, and other types of gynecologic cancers.

Dr. Ghamande discussed why having a yearly pap smear can save the lives of women across country and how effective today’s vaccines are for preventing those types of cancer.
