See the October Healing Arts exhibit

This month’s healing art wall exhibitor is Cedric Bacon of Statesboro, Georgia. His exhibit, “My Vision through the Lens,” showcases photographs of nature. By trade, he is an IT specialist at Optim Orthopedics, but he enjoys gardening, family and photography.

Bacon has always enjoyed nature, and at age 7 he created his own garden. He wasn’t always a photographer. He started to develop his talent after buying his first camera to record YouTube tutorial videos on how to use different applications. After a few years on hiatus, Bacon picked up his talent again with the 2016 super moon and the 2017 total solar eclipse. Now, Bacon has a passion for nature, wildlife photography and astrophotography.

The exhibit is located on the second floor of the Augusta University Medical Center on the way to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. The Healing Arts program displays work by local artists through the Office of Volunteer Services and Engagement.

Bacon’s photography and portfolio can be viewed on his website. If you or someone you know is interested in displaying their talents in the AU Medical Center, please contact Jessica Tang or 706-721-3596.
