Laney-Walker Boulevard project update

The following message was distributed by Georgia Regents University Facilities Planning, Design and Construction Department regarding construction on Laney-Walker.

To ensure the portion of Laney-Walker Boulevard currently under construction is completed to the utmost satisfaction of Georgia Regents University and the City of Augusta, crews must spend more time than anticipated on the roadway to resolve several pre-existing issues that were recently discovered. As a result, the “flip” of construction work to the other side of Laney-Walker has been postponed until a later date to be determined by the Planning, Design and Construction Department. We will send out notice ahead of time when traffic patterns will be altered and when access to the center of campus will change from the current configuration.
