As Augusta University prepares to receive its report following the early phases of the Comprehensive Administrative Review (CAR), President Brooks Keel has assembled a team from Augusta University and Augusta University Health to develop an action plan based on the report’s insights. The team’s membership is listed on the AU-CAR website.
The AU-CAR Report Action Planning Committee’s initial kick-off meeting was March 4.
The Comprehensive Administrative Review was launched in 2018 by USG Chancellor Steve Wrigley to enhance administrative effectiveness and efficiency and to identify cost savings across all units of the USG. After data gathering, individual employee activity assessments and an opportunity identification survey, the consulting group facilitating the project conducted an on-site visit to gather additional information and hold interviews and focus groups.
While the report itself will not provide recommendations, it should illuminate potential operational, process and management issues. Therefore, once the final report has been received, the team will provide their recommendations of actions to address the identified issues to Keel and the Executive Cabinet. The committee will meet weekly through April 30. Those interested in status updates should visit the AU-CAR website.
