Have you had your annual health screening?

15 minutes helps promote a healthy workforce

Your well-being as an employee is extremely important. That is why a dedicated team in Employee Health and Wellness wants to remind you to schedule your annual health screening before March 31. This complimentary screening for employees only takes about 15 minutes and includes a vitals check, health history review, annual tuberculosis/IGRA testing, and a fitting for an N-95 mask.

An annual health screening is a work requirement that keeps us in compliance with Joint Commission and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention compliance. If you can’t recall when your last annual health screening was, please contact your manager or Employee Health to ask if you are due for another.

Employee Health and Wellness is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the main office on Pope Avenue. In addition, a satellite clinic is open in AU Medical Center’s Entrance A lobby (Room BA-1343) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-11 a.m.

For your added convenience, Employee Health has scheduled several “pop-up” clinics for those identified as overdue, between now and March 30, and at least two of those will be on Saturdays and a few weeknight clinics run until 7 p.m. There will be three MD-only clinics held to assist faculty with this effort. Below is a working schedule.

To schedule your appointment, contact Employee Health and Wellness at 721-3418, or email your inquiry to EmployeeHealth@augusta.edu.

It is vital that you keep your appointment as there are still several hundred employees who need to be screened this month to bring our organization into compliance. Please be mindful of this.

A healthy workforce helps us better protect not only our patients and families, but also our faculty, staff and students.
