Excellence in Stewardship Award presented to Georgia Correctional HealthCare

The Office of Internal Audit (OIA) presented its first Excellence in Stewardship Award to the Georgia Correctional HealthCare (GCHC) team.

The team completed 100 percent of the Departmental Self-Assessment, a program intended to raise awareness of everyone’s responsibility for stewardship and controls, assist departments in assessing their internal controls, identify deficiencies or weaknesses and educate on best business practices.

In August, the OIA recognized the GCHC team by presenting the award and providing refreshments at their staff meeting.
