Data analytics workshop to take place at Georgia Cyber Center

Pioneers in the fields of big data analytics will speak at the inaugural workshop on “Emerging Data Science Methods for Complex Biomedical and Cyber Data,” held at the Georgia Cyber Center on March 29-30, 2019. The workshop is organized and hosted by the Division of Biostatistics and Data Science in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the Medical College of Georgia.

The two-day workshop will educate and empower graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, early career researchers and faculty members with emerging statistical methods to address the complex data arising from various fields, in particular from biomedical and cyber sciences.

Speakers include Dr. Doug Miller of the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, Dr. Rachel Cummings of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. George Cybenko of Dartmouth College, Dr. Bani K. Mallick of Texas A&M University, Dr. Ashis SenGupta of the Indian Statistical Institute, Dr. Elizabeth Slate of Florida State University, Jiayang Sun of Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Alyson G. Wilson of North Carolina State University and Dr. Heping Zhang of the Yale School of Public Health.

The Workshop will take place at the Georgia Cyber Center Hull McKnight Building on One 11th Street in Augusta, Georgia.
