University System of Georgia joins forces with U.S. Army

At the 2019 Cybersecurity, Education, Research and Training Symposium (CERTS), a memorandum of understanding was signed with the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and the University System of Georgia schools, allowing active duty military and reservists to pursue a cybersecurity-related degree program at a Center of Academic Excellence in the University System of Georgia.

“The new memorandum of understanding between the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and the University System of Georgia helps improve our techniques for instruction and allows our soldiers to accelerate their degree completion programs by recognizing their military work experience, education and training,” said Robert Kazimer, deputy to the commanding general, U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence.

Augusta University, designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, is included in this memorandum of understanding. Learn more about this new partnership: University System of Georgia Joins Forces with U.S. Army.
