Losing hair to show they care

More than 30 people participated in the Brave the Shave event Aug. 30 at Children’s Hospital of Georgia. Men, women and children volunteered to have their heads shaved in order to help raise funds for childhood cancer care and research. Young patients took a break from watching the event to hang gold ribbons on the trees outside the hospital in recognition of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
