Greeting card party for pediatric cancer patients

Faculty and staff at the Georgia Cancer Center spent Wednesday afternoon putting the creative side of their brains to work. Their mission: to create greeting cards for children going through cancer treatment.

It’s an initiative started by the Cannonball Kids cancer Foundation to inspire pediatric patients. Caryn Bird, a graduate student in Dr. Ted Johnson’s lab, started the greeting card party after hearing about the work done by the Cannonball organization.

Click through the photo gallery to see just a couple of the card creations.
