Employers visit for National Cyber Career Awareness Week

As part of the National Cyber Career Awareness Week, which takes place Nov. 13-18, Career Services is hosting several employer visits. These different employers will have information about internships, tips on the hiring/recruitment process, best practices in the application processes and many other valuable opportunities to make landing a job that much easier. Some of these events have limited space, so it’s important to sign up as soon as possible.

Tuesday, Nov. 14

ADP information table on Nov. 14 in the JSAC Breezeway from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to promote their Spring semester internships, many of which are technology project based.

  • This specifically targets students graduating anytime in 2018
  • Hiring managers will be there to talk to students about the different positions.

National Security Agency will host an information session Nov. 14 from 2-3:30 p.m. in UH 224.

  • They will provide an overview of the NSA, career opportunities with them and tips on the hiring/recruitment process.
  • This classroom is limited to 50, so tech majors are encouraged to sign up early, before the remaining seats are released to other majors.

National Security Agency will host a Code Breakers Challenge at 3:30 p.m. in UH 224 on Nov. 14

  • This is approximately a 30 minute program, limit of 50 seats.
Thursday, Nov. 16

U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade (CPB) will host an information session in UH 170 Nov. 16 at 4:30 p.m.

  • Topics covered include a “day in the life” of working in the CPB
  • Projected internship and full-time recruitment needs for the CPB
  • Best practices in the application process
  • This program will conclude with a pizza social from 5:30-6 p.m. in the Atrium outside of UH 170. (Please confirm if you are slating your class to come so food can be accounted for)

Student reservations are needed for these events.
