Safe Zone offers online training to support LGBT+ individuals

Augusta University’s Safe Zone is providing a three-module, online training program including language, identity and stereotypes of privilege to help create a safer, more inclusive environment within the University, Health System and community. Through their training programs, Safe Zone aims to establish an identifiable network of individuals who work toward providing support, information and a safe place for LGBTQ+ persons within the campus community.

This particular Safe Zone training program is designed to help clarify language and terminology, to push participants forward in understanding experiences related to identity in general, and LGBTQ+ identities, specifically, and to address issues related to stereotypes and privilege.

To register, visit the Safe Zone training page.
