Augusta University surpasses $1 million fundraising goal

The 2017 IGIVE fundraiser for Augusta University exceeded its $1 million goal for the third consecutive year.

With the help of alumni, faculty, staff, donors, and community partners, the campaign raised $1,072,768 according to an announcement made by university officials during the Augusta U Brew-N-Que on Friday, Oct. 13, marking the end of the 2017 IGIVE campaign.

“We are humbled at the enormous generosity of our donors, alumni, and friends because this funding helps to ensure our mission of fostering meaningful research discoveries and creating innovative learning opportunities,” said President Brooks Keel. “The continued commitment we have received throughout the years is a testament that our supporters believe in our vision, and we will continue working hard to enhance the student experience, broaden the scope of our research, and serve our community.”

IGIVE is the annual campaign for giving to Augusta University and Augusta University Health. Gifts are directed to benefit any of the university’s cyber initiatives, ten colleges and schools, the health system, university athletics, the Children’s Hospital of Georgia or other specific programs.  For more information about the fundraiser and donation opportunities, visit augusta.edu/igive.
