Piazza talks ‘hospital preparedness’ with CNBC in wake of Vegas shooting

In a recent interview with CNBC about hospital response during the Oct. 1 shooting in Las Vegas that killed 58 people and injured another 489, Dr. Gina Piazza, an emergency medicine physician at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, reiterates the importance of hospital preparedness and triage in a mass casualty event.

“Our goal is to identify the ones who need immediate care, and treat them first,” she said in the interview.
