March Resource Alignment Hearings open to faculty, staff and students

Augusta University will once again host the Resource Alignment Hearings this year as part of integrated planning. At the hearings, university leaders will share their colleges’ and units’ achievements and challenges, and they will present their goals for FY 2018.

The hearings were first held in spring 2014 to align colleges’ and units’ goals with institutional priorities and resources. In spring 2016, they became open to university stakeholders to foster open and transparent communication about institutional accomplishments, challenges, and priorities.

This year’s hearings will primarily focus on what can be accomplished in FY 2018 using existing resources.

“Although the next year does not promise us additional resources, the expectation to grow and to advance our mission within our existing means makes the need to plan and prioritize our activities more vital than ever,” said Dr. Gretchen Caughman, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.

However, presenters are also asked to describe their FY 2018 priorities in the event that additional resources become available. Additionally, presenters will describe the collaborations with other units that would need to occur to achieve their goals and priorities.

All hearings are open to faculty, staff and students as observers. They will be held in the Jaguar Student Activities Center during the afternoons of March 20 through March 31. The full schedule and location for when each university leader’s presentation will occur is available on the university website. The hearing schedule as well as the presentation template and other materials are also available.
