It’s time for your voice to be heard again, this time on draft recommendations for our new strategic priorities and organizational goals. The new strategic plan that will be published next fall will guide our university’s initiatives for the next four years, so don’t miss your opportunity to help shape our future together.
Under the leadership of President Brooks Keel, Provost Gretchen Caughman and AU Medical Center CEO Lee Ann Liska, teams representing four strategic focus areas — education, research, clinical care and outreach & economic development — were charged with developing our next strategic plan.
During January and February, these teams met almost weekly to identify their recommended goals for the organization based on existing plans and initiatives, data and best practices, and the input received from thousands of faculty, staff and students who shared their thoughts and priorities for the university and health system in the January Augusta University Strategic Planning survey.
During March and April, multiple engagements will offer the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft plan to anyone who holds a stake in Augusta University’s future (see sidebar). These engagements are open to faculty, staff and students as well as community members.
“We were blown away with the response to our first strategic planning survey,” said President Brooks Keel. “It tells us just how much people care about where we’re going. I encourage everyone who has a stake in our university and health system to read the draft strategic priorities and goals and give us your thoughts, so we can chart the best future for us all.”
