Downloads before downpours: Prepare yourself during Severe Weather Week

This information was released by the Critical Event Preparedness and Response office (CEPaR) for the Augusta University community.

This week in Georgia, the National Weather Service is observing Severe Weather Week (February 6 – 10, 2017).  This is a dedicated time when all Georgians are encouraged to prepare for unexpected events, practice emergency response for all types of weather events and learn about our local weather threats.
The National Weather Service is highlighting different weather events such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, flash floods, and floods.  If you are interested in safety tips for you and your family, what to look for to recognize severe weather and weather facts, visit this website.

There are a number of weather websites and apps for your smartphone that you can use.  Below are a few that are used by the office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response:
