Six-word stories a hit

On Monday, Augusta University launched its Six-Word Stories site, and the response has been overwhelming.

Less than 12 hours after Dr. Keel’s email started dropping into the inboxes of faculty, staff and students across the institution, we’ve more than doubled our supply of six-word stores.

Now we have twice as many examples of employee pride, all told by the people who make us all proud.

Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway won a bar bet with the world’s first six-word story, but we’re using the format a little differently. By inviting stories from all around the institution, from the university to the health system, from Augusta to our satellite campuses, we’re using six-word stories as a way to highlight the work being done and the pride being expressed at the grassroots level.

We’ve already started adding these new stories to the site, and later we’ll be adding to the expanded stories, too. So if you liked what you saw – and clearly you did – stop by again and read more six-word stories.

You write. We post. Our stories.
