AUGUSTA, Ga. – About 62 children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute. You can help provide vital care to these young patients by making a donation to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia through your local Walmart or Sam’s Club store.
Now through Oct. 9, Walmart customers and Sam’s Club members can give $1 or more to the area’s only children’s hospital and the local CMN Hospital during a special fundraising campaign for CHOG. Walmart is hosting a virtual campaign, and Sam’s Club will display purchased paper Miracle Balloons in-store. People can donate at the register.
Customers, members and associates can use the hashtag #HelpKidsLiveBetter in social media posts and photos to share the campaign and ask for additional support from friends and family.
Last year Walmart and Sam’s Club raised more than $60 million in the U.S. and Canada for CMN Hospitals. Local stores raised more $185,000 to fund critical treatments and health services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care at CHOG.
The 154-bed not-for-profit CHOG is the second-largest children’s hospital in the state, providing the highest level of pediatric critical care and neonatal intensive care, as well as a wide range of general and complex health care for children. CHOG was recently ranked as the nation’s top performing hospital in pediatric quality and safety by Vizient Inc., a consortium of the country’s academic medical centers.
