Employee flu vaccines start today; flu mist no longer acceptable for institutional compliance

Employee Health and Wellness is highlighting the start of its flu season with a kick-off event on Monday, Sept. 19.

Both the main Employee Health and Wellness locations as well as the satellite clinic location will be closed so that staff can offer flu shots and screenings for all interested faculty, staff and employees in the large auditorium and the auditorium breezeway on the Health Sciences Campus from 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Employees must have badge to be given a vaccine.

Please note: based on recent CDC research, the decision has been made that the flu mist will no longer be acceptable for the purposes of compliance with the institutional influenza immunization policy.
