Looking for a fun, educational summer activity for your child?

kusealSpots are still available for Augusta University’s Kids University program, a six-week, multidisciplinary summer program offering half-day or full-day academic enrichment programs for children (Grades K-6) and half-day or full-day camps for teens (Grades 6-8).

The Kids University K-6 program offers six-week courses dedicated to the fields of art, music, science and math and Lego design. The Kids University Teen Edition camps offer a six-week program focusing on a different theme every week. Themes include aviation, journalism, medicine as well as design and engineering.

This year, in addition to several returning programs, Kids University will also offer a one-week K-8 Chinese Language and Culture Summer Camp. During Chinese Language and Culture Camp, students will learn aspects of calligraphy, kung fu and the basics of Chinese language.

Who can participate?  

Students participating in K-6 programs must have completed kindergarten as of June 2016. Students participating in Kids University Teen Edition programs must have completed sixth, seventh or eighth grade as of June 2016.

Students who have completed sixth grade as of June 2016 may register for either Kids University K-6 or Kids University Teen Edition camps.

What does half-day participation mean?

Programs run from 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Early drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m., and a morning snack will be provided.

What does full-day participation mean?

Programs run from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Students must bring a nonrefrigerated lunch from home. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided. K-6 programs will rotate through daily art projects, creative play and a number of cool and engaging themes. K/1 programs combine quiet/reading time with academic enrichment courses. Students must be picked up no later than 6 p.m.

How do I register my child for Kids University?

Registration for Kids University is available online here. Parents or guardians may also register their children by filling out the registration form located here and returning it, along with payment, to:

After registering, parents or guardians must be sure to complete and return all required forms prior to the first day of their child’s Kids University session. Children lacking completed forms will not be allowed to participate.

All completed forms must be submitted either by mail to the Augusta University Division of Professional and Community Education at the address above or by email to coned@augusta.edu.

The registration deadline for each Kids University session is one full week (seven days) prior to the session’s start date.
