Radiology group cooks for families at Ronald McDonald House

A group representing the Radiology Department at Augusta University Medical Center recently volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta.

Pattie Parrish (Pictured L-R), Ruth Olmstead, Maura Bailey, Lewis Golden, Molly Golden and Lisa Murdock cooked a spaghetti dinner for the families and guests at the house Tuesday, April 12.

For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta has served as a “home away from home” for families seeking medical treatment for their sick or injured children. More than 17,000 families have been helped since the house was established in 1984. The original house on Greene Street closed when the new, larger house was built on the Augusta University campus near Children’s Hospital of Georgia — a move that nearly quadrupled accommodations.

Since the house opened in January 2015, RMHC of Augusta has served more than 1,075 families.
