Augusta University’s first commencement

Augusta University’s first graduating class received upbeat words of wisdom from commencement speaker Barry Storey, a well-known philanthropist with a history of supporting Augusta University.

Among other things, Storey told graduates to work hard, make their own luck and to remember where they came from.

“As you move through your life and you climb that ladder of success and you become more and more successful and you start to reach your goals, I would encourage you to never, ever forget about your past,” Storey said.
