Walk 2 Remember kicks off Veterans Day activities

At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Georgia Regents University community will honor our nation’s veterans by participating in Walk 2 Remember, a 24-hour walkathon around the Summerville Campus.

Sponsored by the GRU Ranger Club and GRU’s Military and Veterans Services, proceeds from the walk will benefit the Fisher House Foundation, which provides comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.

Following the walk, there will be a veterans awareness rally at the D. Doug Barnard Jr. Amphitheatre featuring food, music, games and special speakers.
