GRMC creating plans in the event of Columbia patient evacuation

Georgia Regents Medical Center is creating contingency plans in the event patients at facilities within Columbia, S.C. affected by the recent flooding require evacuation.

There is no realized need at this point in time.

The contingency plans are being developed in advance in an effort to be prepared should our neighbors need this type of assistance.

Again, no request has been made at this time for GRMC to accept patients from hospitals within Columbia and there are currently no hospitals evacuating at this time.
